P5a had a great time going down to the nursery! We used the story sticks that we had made for our class novel, Kensuke’s Kingdom. It was really good fun sharing our stories with the nursery pupils and they really enjoyed listening to them. Thank you nursery!
This week we celebrated World Book Day by dressing up as our favourite characters. We were luck enough to be given vouchers to buy a book in the library. We can’t wait to read these stories! We also had Fergus the storyteller visit the nursery. He helped to develop stories through using the children’s imagination and taking on their ideas. We loved the songs and actions that went along with these! Thanks Fergus!
|This fortnight in nursery we have been talking about fireworks and how to keep ourselves safe. In art area we enjoyed making rockets and firework paintings and have displayed them on the wall.
Pupil voice – the children told us what they have enjoyed learning about this fortnight.
“making campfires and soup in the mud kitchen” (Joy)
We have also been learning French songs.
